SERVICE NO. 05LANDING PAGES · BUILT TO CONVERT

Pages built
to convert. Not decorate.

Most ad budgets get wasted because the landing page does the wrong job. A great page makes one specific person take one specific action — and removes everything else that could distract them. No design awards. Real clients.

Before our call, you receive a written report: your buyer's real fears, the language they use, your top competitors, and which channel fits your business.

Why it matters
Homepage vs. landing page

Your homepage talks about you.
A landing page talks about them.

A landing page is a single-purpose page built to convert one audience into one action — a booked call or form fill. Unlike your homepage, it removes every distraction and delivers exactly what your ad promised. For Vancouver service businesses running paid traffic, it's the difference between 2% and 20% conversion.

OPTION A · HOMEPAGE

The everything page

  • Trying to please 5 different audiences at once
  • Talks about your team, history, services
  • A dozen exit points (nav, footer, "learn more")
  • Optimized for "looks good", not for conversion
  • Typical CVR from paid: 0.5–2%
OPTION B · LANDING PAGE

The one-job page

  • One offer. One audience. One desired action.
  • Promises what the ad promised — no surprises
  • Proof + price + form. Nothing else.
  • Optimized for conversion, not for browsing
  • Typical CVR from paid: 10–20%

The math: a 5× better conversion rate on the same ad spend means 5× more paying clients — without paying Google a dollar more.

Common mistakes
Why most pages don't convert

Five ways to lose
a paid visitor in 5 seconds.

№01

Pointing ads at the homepage

The most expensive mistake in performance marketing. Your homepage is a buffet; the ad promised a specific dish.

№02

Hero that talks about you

"Welcome to ACME Cleaning. We have 20 years of experience." Nobody cares yet. The hero has 3 seconds to answer: am I in the right place?

№03

Too many CTAs

"Book a consultation", "Call us", "Email us", "Live chat", "Subscribe". Five options means no decision. Pick one.

№04

Slow load time

Every extra second of load time tanks conversion by ~7%. A 5-second page kills 35% of your ad spend before anyone sees the offer.

№05

No proof above the fold

Reviews, photos, before/afters belong on the page early. Trust is what closes — not your design choices.

Anatomy
How I build them

Six blocks. Same order.
Every single time.

BLOCK 01
Hero
Headline that mirrors the ad. Sub-headline that explains the offer. One CTA. Hero photo or video that earns trust within 2 seconds.
BLOCK 02
Proof
Real reviews, star ratings, client photos, before/afters. The visitor has to believe you can deliver before they care what you charge.
BLOCK 03
Offer
What they get, in their own words. Price (or "from $X"), what's included, how long it takes, who it's for.
BLOCK 04
Objections
The 3 things people worry about before booking — addressed directly. Money-back, no-obligation, response time, qualifications.
BLOCK 05
Form / CTA
Short form. Right above the form, a one-line reassurance ("no payment now", "reply in 24h"). One button. Big enough to thumb on mobile.
BLOCK 06
Footer hooks
Phone number, email, location, hours — for the visitor who scrolled past the form but is now ready to talk.

Same skeleton; different muscle each time. The variables: industry-specific language, trust signals, and proof types. The order doesn't change.

Case study

The page that did 19.86% on cold traffic.

19.86%
Cold Google Ads traffic · single-offer landing page · Month 1

For a Vancouver upholstery cleaning business, we built a one-offer page focused on a single service. No global nav, no "About us", no service menu. Just hero, proof, offer, objections, form.

From 30 leads on $785 of cold Google Ads traffic, 17 became paying clients in the first month — 3.91× ROI. The same page is still running today, with iterative copy tests every month.

FAQ

Landing pages, questions.

The questions I get every week. For anything else: let's talk on a call.

01Why can't I just use my existing website for ads?

You can — but expect 1–2% conversion on cold paid traffic instead of 10–20%. A homepage tries to please many audiences and intents; a landing page is built to convert one. The math is brutal: up to 10× the ad spend for the same number of clients.

02What platform do you build the landing page on?

Whatever fits your stack. Default is Webflow or Framer — fast and easy for you to edit later. If you're on WordPress, Shopify or a custom stack, we can build there too. You always own the source.

03How long does it take to build a landing page?

Three weeks from kickoff to live for a single-service page. It can be shorter for simpler offers, or longer if we need customer research from scratch or custom photography.

04Do you write the copy too?

Yes. Copy is the single biggest lever on conversion — about 70% of the difference between a great page and a mediocre one. I write the first draft from customer research; you review and refine.

05What about images and photos?

For most service businesses your real photos beat stock by a wide margin. I'll direct what to shoot, or shoot it if you're in Vancouver. For clinics and beauty we mix real client photos (with consent) and curated stock.

06Will the landing page be mobile-friendly?

Mobile-first, always. Over 70% of paid traffic in service businesses comes from mobile. Sub-2-second load time is non-negotiable, and forms are thumb-sized.

07How much does a landing page cost?

If you run ads with me, the landing page is built into the monthly base fee — no upfront design charge. Need only the page? It's a single project fee covering research, copy, design, build, tracking and 30 days of iteration. You own the page either way.
